Vastu For Griha Pravesh
Griha Pravesh, or the housewarming ceremony, is a significant event in Vastu Shastra, marking the entry into a new home and seeking blessings for peace and prosperity. According to Vastu principles, Griha Pravesh should be performed on an auspicious day (muhurat) determined by a qualified astrologer to attract positive energy. The entrance of the house should be decorated with mango leaves and a toran (decorative garland) to invite prosperity and ward off negative energy. The house should be cleaned thoroughly, and a Kalash (pot) filled with water and adorned with a coconut and mango leaves should be placed at the entrance as a symbol of purity and abundance. Lighting a lamp or diya in the northeast corner and performing a havan (sacred fire ritual) helps purify the home and eliminate negative energies. The first step into the house should be with the right foot to signify a positive beginning. Following these Vastu guidelines during Griha Pravesh helps create a harmonious and spiritually uplifting atmosphere in the new home.
